The Broker - The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. Still more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that range is not narrow.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That will round things out when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not something typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. The average platform run 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. The point is the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
Here is the part that matters. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. This does not guarantee anything. It does factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
